ABSTRACT A unit is provided for synchronizing an incoming PCM frame with a PCM frame to be presented at an output of the unit in accordance with externally generated timing, to ensure correct sequencing of the channels belonging to a wide band information flow. This flow can consist of a coded video signal coming from a video conference room. Synchronization is accomplished by appropriate data writing and reading operations effected in a random access memory of a size sufficient to store the information content of two PCM frames, each half of the memory being written suc- cessively with data from the input, and each half succes- sively being read to the output with a temporal offset such as to provide the desired synchronization.
