ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A PCM regenerated comprises an input transformer, amplitude and time decision devices and a pulse amplifier and shaper coupled in series with one another with a phase discriminator and a timing signal generator forming a phase-locked loop and the generator timing signal being applied to the time decision device. To facilitate the processing of high bit rates each of the amplitude decision device, the time decision device, and the phase discriminator comprises two separate signal paths, one for positive and the other for negative input signals. These regenerators are used in transmission paths for PCM signals for the amplitude and time-wise regeneration of transmitted time multiplex signals.
