A device (30) for handling PCR microcards (10), each having an array of sample chambers (14) closed by a transparent material on one side thereof, in relation to a PCR instrument, the device (30) including a carrier (30) having an apertured region with an array of holes (48) corresponding in number and relative location with the array of sample chambers (14) in each of the microcards (10), and a provision for retaining a microcard (10) on the carrier (30) so that the transparent material faces the apertured region, and so that the side of the microcard (10) opposite the transparent material is unobstructed at least throughout the array of sample chambers (14). The device (10) cooperates with the PCR instrument to ensure accurate positioning of the carrier and the microcard retained thereon for real time PCR processing.
La présente invention se rapporte à un dispositif (30) permettant de manipuler des microcartes PCR (10) comportant chacune une matrice de chambres d'échantillons (14) fermées sur un de leurs côtés par une matière transparente, de manière à déplacer ces microcartes par rapport à un instrument de PCR. Ledit dispositif (30) comporte un support (30) présentant une région ouverte avec une matrice de trous (48) correspondant en nombre et en position relative à la matrice de chambres d'échantillons (14) de chacune des microcartes (10), et un moyen de retenue d'une microcarte (10) sur le support (30) de sorte que la matière transparente se trouve face à la région ouverte, et de sorte que le côté de la microcarte (10) qui est opposé à la matière transparente ne présente aucun obstacle au moins sur toute la surface de la matrice de chambres d'échantillons (14). Ce dispositif (10) coopère avec l'instrument pour PCR et assure un positionnement précis du support et de la microcarte retenue sur ledit support aux fins d'un traitement PCR en temps réel.
