PEAK-TO-PEAK VALUE DETECTOR Abstract of the Disclosure The present invention relates to an apparatus for detecting and measuring peak-to-peak values in an electrical input signal. The signal is comprised of a group of positive-going peaks and a group of negative-going peaks. The apparatus is comprised of a clamping circuit for referencing one of the group of peaks to a predetermined d.c. voltage level. The clamping circuit is comprised of an operational amplifier which has an inverting input for receiving the input signal, a non-inverting input and an output terminal. The circuit also includes a first network, connected to the inverting input, to reference one of the groups of peaks to the predetermined d.c. voltage. A peak detecting and measuring circuit is connected to the clamping circuit for providing an electrical output signal indicative of the magnitude of the other unreferenced peaks with respect to the predetermined d.c. voltage level.
