ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Pearlescent dispersions consisting of a fatty acid glycol ester, a fatty acid alkanolamide, one or more surfactants of the formulae Image in which RS denotes a linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group with 8-20 carbon atoms, n denotes a number from 0 to 10, preferably 2 to 5, and Y denotes all alkali metal, alkaline earth metal or ammo- nium ion, R6 denotes a linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon chain with 7-29 carbon atoms, Z denotes a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group with 1-5 car- bon atoms, salts and water in the amount to make up to 100%. Pearl- escent dispersions based on these surfactants have the advantage that they already have good flow properties at temperatures below 20°C.
