A pearlescent pigment characterized in that it is composed of a flaky substrate produced by hydrothermal technique and, superimposed on a surface thereof, a coating layer of at least one metal oxide and that the metal oxide is in the form of particles with a diameter of 1 to 500 nm. The provided pearlescent pigment simultaneously has overall uniform brightness and gracious silky sensation, fully satisfying the requirement of designability.
La présente invention concerne un pigment perlé caractérisé en ce qu'il est composé d'un substrat floconneux obtenu par technique hydrothermique et d'une couche de revêtement superposée au dit substrat et composée d'au moins un oxyde métallique et en ce que l'oxyde métallique se présente sous forme de particules d'un diamètre variant entre 1 et 500 nm. Le pigment perlé selon l'invention présente à la fois une brillance uniforme générale et une sensation soyeuse agréable, ce qui satisfait pleinement aux attentes en termes de conception.
