A pedal-powered watercraft (10) comprises a unitary hull (12) having an upper wall (33) extending from a bow portion to a stern portion of the watercraft and a pair of spaced hollow sponsons (20) located on either side of the upper wall. The upper wall together with inner walls (26) of the sponsons form a tunnel (32) that opens generally downwardly and extends from the bow portion to the stern portion of the watercraft. A deck (14) is connected to the hull and includes an elongate opening (64) that defines a cockpit area (68) for receiving an occupant. A seat (210) is located in the cockpit area and a pedal assembly (82) is connected to the hull forwardly of the seat. The pedal assembly includes a pivotal pedal tower (100) and a pair of pedals (130) rotatably mounted on the pedal tower. The pair of pedals are operably connected to drive the propeller (196) during pedal rotation.
La présente invention concerne un bateau à entraînement à pédale (10) qui comprend une coque monobloc (12) présentant une paroi supérieure (33), qui s'étend à partir d'une partie de proue jusqu'à une partie de poupe du bateau, et une paire de flotteurs creux (20), espacés, qui sont situés sur chaque côté de la paroi supérieure. La paroi supérieure et les parois intérieures (26) des flotteurs forment un tunnel (32) qui s'ouvre généralement vers le bas et s'étend de la partie de proue à la partie de poupe du bateau. Un pont (14) est relié à la coque et comprend une ouverture allongée (64) qui définit une zone de poste de pilotage (68) permettant de recevoir un occupant. Un siège (210) est situé dans la zone de poste de pilotage et un ensemble pédale (82) est relié à la coque vers l'avant du siège. Ledit ensemble pédale comprend une tour de pédale pivotante (100) et une paire de pédales (130), montées sur ladite tour de pédale de façon à pouvoir tourner. Ladite paire de pédales est reliée de façon opérationnelle, afin de pouvoir entraîner l'hélice (196) lors de la rotation des pédales.
