A hand-operated control is provided for a pedal mounted on the floor of a motor vehicle. The control has a pedal-connector adapted to be attached to the pedal and an upstanding arm connected to the pedal-connector by a joint. The upper end of the arm is connected to a handle by a second joint. The two joints allow movement between the components to which they are attached but can be immobilized to prevent such movement.
