A pedestal mount is provided for mounting electrical equipment in a vehicle. The pedestal mount includes a variable length base tube. An upper rotatable joint supports a mounting platform and enables rotational movement of the platform. A lower rotatable joint couples the base tube to the floor of the vehicle to permit rotatable movement of the base tube with respect to the vehicle floor. A pair of support members connected to the base tube provide, with the base tube, triangulated support for the electrical equipment.
