Q.1007 Abstract Infusion material, such as fired leaf tea, is prepared for storage and/or transport by being pelleted using a ring-roll press. The pelleted material can be stored for long periods without suffering undue spoilage through the growth of bacteria and moulds, and its increased bulk density facilitates transport. In the case of leaf tea, the pellets can be crushed to yield material suitable for use in tea bags or in the manufacture of instant tea. *****
