Method for ensuring the safe tilting of a railway train (5) traveling on a railway track, characterized in that various lengths of the railway track are allocated limiting permitted tilt values (.beta.1, .beta.2) representing a safe gauge within which the train may tilt without risk of collision with infrastructure located close to the track or a train coming in the opposite direction. Any movement of the vehicle outside the permitted tilt values (.beta.1, .beta.2) is safely prevented on the railway block on which the vehicle is traveling (5).

Procédé de contrôle sécuritaire de la pendulation d'un véhicule ferroviaire (5) circulant sur une voie ferrée, caractérisé en ce qu'on affecte à différents cantons de la voie ferrée des valeurs limites de pendulation autorisées (.beta.1, .beta.2) représentatives d'un gabarit sécuritaire à l'intérieur duquel le train peut penduler sans risque de collision avec les infrastructures disposées à proximité de la voie ou avec un véhicule venant en sens inverse et en ce qu'on interdit de façon sécuritaire toute pendulation du véhicule au-delà de valeurs limites de pendulation autorisées (.beta.1, .beta.2) affectées au canton de voie sur lequel se trouve le véhicule (5).
