ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The peptide pGlu-Pro-Pro-Gly-Gly-Ser-Lys-Val-Ile- Leu-Phe is a neuropeptide of interest as a research substance and in pharmaceutical preparations; it is produced synthetically according to known peptide-synthesizing methods, or by extracting animal tissue with an organic solvent and purifying the extract by chromatography particularly through ion-exchangers, through weakly cross-linked molecular-sieve columns and by high pressure liquid chromatography.
