The novel peptides are represented by formulae (1) to (20): Arg-Lys(Chc)-Asp-Val (1) Arg-Lys(Chc)-Asp (2) Arg-Sar-Asp-Val (3) Arg-Sar-Asp (4) Orn-Lys-Asp-Val (5) Orn-Lys-Asp (6) Arg-Lys-Aad-Val (7) Arg-lys-Aad (8) [Arg-Lys-Asp-NH-CH2-]2 (9) Image (10) [Arg-Lys-Asp-Val-NH-CH2-]2 (11) [Arg-lys-Asp-?ys-NH2]2 (12) Iys-Ser-lys-leu (13) Ser-lys-leu (14) Ser-Ser-Ser-Thr (15) Iys-Glu-Thr (16) Iys-Thr-Glu-Thr (17) Pro-lys-leu-Thr (18) Iys-lys-Thr-Glu (19) Iys-His-leu-NH2 (20). The novel peptides are useful for the therapy of diseases, where a general suppressing action on the function of the immune system is desired.
