The invention relates to peptides of the AT1 receptor and their use for eliminating specifically binding, cell-physiologically active, pathological antibodies in preeclampsia. The inventive peptides are further used for the diagnosis of preeclampsia. According to the invention, peptides having the sequence AFHYESQ, AVHYQSN, SHFYQTR, GYYFDTN or ENTNIT are preferred.
