ABSTRACT This invention consists of a method of conserving per- chloroethylene and of preventing unwanted perchloroethylene emissions in the dry cleaning industry by using a gas detecting device to indicate when a carbon bed has become saturated. This invention also comprises an attachment for use with a carbon bed or dry cleaning machine to detect perchloroethylene gas emissions.
