ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An electromechanical transducer converts an electrical signal into distortion free sound. Two equal coils are mounted on a sleeve within separate mag- netic circuits. The coils are wound in identical mirror image symmetry and the magnetic circuits are disposed sym- metrically of the sleeve. The application of an electric signal at the terminals of the coils causes the sleeve and diaphragm to reciprocate linearly under balanced forces within the air gap defined by the magnetic circuits.
