ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Perfluoroalkylthio glycols and esters thereof which can be prepared by the free-radical catalyzed addition of a perfluoroalkylthiol to an acetylenic alcohol or ester thereof reacted with a dissocya?ate to obtain a polyurethane containing perfluoroalkylthiol groups, which polyurethanes are useful as coating to provide oil and water repellence to textiles and as additive to plastics to provide mold-release and when combined with a quaternary ammonium salt containing at least one long hydrocarbon chain the treated materials show an additional dry soil repellent effect.
