A catalyst activator particularly adapted for use in the activation of metal complexes of metals of Group 3-10 for polymerization of ethylenically unsaturated polymerizable monomers, especially olefins, comprising a neutral (Lewis acid) or charge separated (cation/anion pair) comprising a boron ligand containing a fluorinated organic group containing from 10 to 100 non-hydrogen atoms.
L'invention porte sur un activateur de catalyse particulièrement adapté à l'activation de complexes de métaux des groupes 3-10 pour la polymérisation de monomères polymérisables non saturés en éthylène, en particulier d'oléfines, et comprenant une forme neutre (acide de Lewis) ou à séparation de charges (paires d'anions/cations) consistant en un ligand de bore contenant un groupe organique fluoré contenant de 10 à 100 atomes hormis l'hydrogène.
