ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A heat transfer assembly for transferring heat from a radiant energy collector to a fluid, comprising a thin sheet of radiant energy absorbing material having small aperatures therethrough selected in size relative to the thickness of the material so that there is a negligible temperature drop within the material itself to transfer heat to air passing through the aperatures. A blower or other suitable means are provided for creating a fluid pressure drop across the sheet of material to force the fluid to flow through the aperatures from one side of the sheet to the other.
