A composition of matter comprising an amine acylated with a hydrocarbyl group substituted carboxylic acylating agent containing an average of from 1.3 to 1.6 groups derived from .alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated carboxylic compounds per Mn of the hydrocarbyl group, wherein the hydrocarbyl group has Mn determined by GPC ranging from 1500 to 3000, the amine comprises polyamine bottoms and said acylated amine has total base number (TBN) ranging from 17 to 35. A method for preparing the composition, lubricating oils containing the composition and, in another embodiment, lubricating oil compositions of this invention further comprising a metal overbased sulfonate detergent.
L'invention concerne une composition d'une matière qui comprend un amine acylé avec un agent d'acylation carboxylé substitué par un groupe hydrocarbyle contenant une moyenne de 1,3 à 1,6 groupes dérivés de composés carboxyliques alpha-bêta insaturés par M¿n? du groupe hydrocarbyle. Le groupe hydrocarbyle présente un M¿n?, déterminé par GPC, compris entre 1500 et 3000. L'amine comprend des résidus de polyamine et l'amine acylé présente un indice de base total (TBN) compris entre 17 et 35. L'invention concerne une méthode de préparation de la composition, des huiles lubrifiantes contenant la composition et, dans une autre forme de réalisation, des compositions d'huile lubrifiante comprenant un détergent sulfonate métallique en sus de la base.
