A perfusion catheter having an improved fluidity of blood in a blood passage and an improved operability in a blood vessel. The perfusion catheter is provided with an outer tube inserted through a balloon and an inner tube having a tapered or pointed tip disposed in the outer tube. The tapered tip of the inner tube is projected out of a forward open end of the outer tube and can retreat inside the forward open end. When the inner tube is moved back behind bores formed in a side wall of the outer tube, the bores communicate via a second lumen to the forward open end, thereby passing blood. The outer periphery inserted through the balloon of the outer tube is securely wound around with a coil.
