ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An organ to be transplanted, such as kidney, can effectively be preserved by perfusion for a considerably long time by the use of a perfusate whi.ch is made by mixing a Ringer's solution modified by incresing potassium ion to 8-20 meq/?, a stable perfluorocarbon compound emulsion and albumin, so that the concentration of the perfluorocarbon compound is 7.5 to 12.5% (W/V) and that of albumin is 1-8% (W/V) based on the perfusate.
