The invention relates to a system and method for telerehabilitation in which a portable device is adapted to be held or coupled to a body part An animated or virtual reality sequence forming a videogame runs on the portable device Upon interaction of the user with the videogame, movement of the body part is captured as exercise data which can be forwarded and stored at a remote clinical server. The system provides monitonng and scheduling of a therapy session by a clinician/doctor/therapist to control the length and/or difficulty of the exercises based on recorded data Vital signs or body temperature can be monitored by sensors on the portable device or by vital sign monitors associated with the user The vital sign data can be synchronized with the exercise data at the remote clinical server, and used to improve patient safety during home therapy sessions
L'invention porte sur un système et un procédé pour une rééducation à distance, dans lesquels un dispositif portable est adapté pour être porté ou couplé à une partie du corps. Une séquence de réalité animée ou virtuelle formant un vidéogramme s'affiche sur le dispositif portable. Lors de l'interaction de l'utilisateur avec le vidéogramme, le mouvement de la partie du corps est capturé sous forme de données d'exercice qui peuvent être transférées et stockées à un serveur clinique à distance. Le système fournit une surveillance et une programmation d'une session de thérapie par un clinicien/docteur/thérapeute pour commander la durée et/ou la difficulté des exercices sur la base des données enregistrées. Des signes vitaux ou une température corporelle peuvent être surveillés par des détecteurs sur le dispositif portable ou par des moniteurs de signes vitaux associés à l'utilisateur. Les données de signes vitaux peuvent être synchronisées avec les données d'exercice au niveau du serveur clinique à distance, et utilisées pour améliorer la sécurité du patient pendant les sessions de thérapie à domicile.
