Peripheral Vision Artificial Horizon Device and Associated Methods Abstract of the Disclosure An artificial horizon device produces a light bar projected on a surface in front of a pilot which bar is per- ceivable with peripheral vision. It includes a light source and a scanning system receiving a light beam from the light source and scanning the beam over the surface so as to pro- duce a light bar image. The light beam is also subject to directional adjustment in two dimensions prior to entering the scanning means so as to ensure correct positioning and orientation of the image on the projection surface, usually a cockpit instrument panel.
