ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A peristaltic pump comprising a pump housing opened at both ends and wherein a hose is provided, leaving a hollow space surround- ing the hose, while the inlet and outlet ends of the hose are connected all around and sealed to the ends of the pump housing, and the pump housing being provided with means for supplying a medium to the hollow space, and discharging the medium therefrom, in order to exert pressure on the outer wall of the hose at desired points of time, characterized in that the hose adjacent the inlet end is provided with a weakening exposed in said hollow space.
