A peristaltic pump having a pump conduit (12) with an occlusive inlet segment. The pump includes a frame (14) with rollers (22) carried by a rotor (16) and rotated by a motor (19). A flexible conduit having an inlet end (26) and an outlet end (28) is positioned around the rollers and includes an occlusive segment (38) and a non-occlusive segment (40). In its free condition, the occlusive segment is collapsed and the passageway through it substantially completely occluded when the pressure within the occlusive segment is equal to or less than the pressure acting on the outside of the occlusive segment. The non-occlusive segment is mildly biased to exhibit an inflated condition with an open passage when in its free condition with the pressure within the non- occlusive segment equal to pressure acting on the outside of the non-occlusive segment.
Cette invention concerne une pompe péristaltique comprenant un conduit de pompage (12), lequel possède un segment d'entrée occlusif. La pompe comprend un cadre (14) ainsi que des galets (22) supportés par un rotor (16) et entraînés par un moteur (19). Le conduit flexible, qui comprend une extrémité d'entrée (26) et une extrémité de sortie (28), est disposé autour des galets. Ce conduit flexible comporte également un segment occlusif (38) ainsi qu'un segment non-occlusif (40). Lorsqu'il est libre, le segment occlusif est affaissé et le passage à l'intérieur de celui-ci pratiquement complètement fermé, et ce, lorsque la pression à l'intérieur dudit segment occlusif est inférieure ou égale à la pression s'exerçant à l'extérieur de celui-ci. Le segment non-occlusif est légèrement contraint de manière à présenter un état gonflé avec un passage ouvert lorsqu'il est libre et que la pression à l'intérieur dudit segment non-occlusif est égale à la pression s'exerçant à l'extérieur de celui-ci.
