This invention provides a safe and highly stable peritoneal dialysate, which causes neither peritoneal membrane disorders nor peritoneal sclerosis associated with frequently repeated peritoneal dialysis treatment, which can protect residual renal functions in chronic renal failure, which inhibits the progress of renal damage over a long period of time, and which enables peritoneal dialysis treatment of diabetic patients. This peritoneal dialysate contains 0.05 to 3.5 w/v% of taurine and 0.1 to 6.5 w/v% of trehalose as osmotic agents and has a pH value adjusted between 6.5-7.5.

L'invention concerne un dialysat péritonéal sûr et hautement stable, qui ne provoque ni troubles de membrane péritonéale, ni sclérose péritonéale dans un traitement de dialyse péritonéale fréquemment répété, lequel dialysat peut protéger les fonctions rénales résiduelles en cas de d'insuffisance rénale chronique et inhiber la progression d'une lésion rénale sur une longue période de temps, et permet un traitement par dialyse péritonéale chez un patient diabétique. L'invention porte sur un dialysat péritonéal qui contient 0,05 à 3,5 % p/v de taurine et 0,1 à 6,5 % p/v de tréhalose en tant qu'agents osmotiques et ayant une valeur de pH régulée de 6,5 à 7,5.
