An anchor for anchoring a lifeline on a roof having sloped trusses is provided. The anchor includes a frame assembly which is arranged to be mounted between the respective apexes of two adjacent trusses. The frame assembly includes a main frame arranged to be mounted at respective ends on the king posts of the respective trusses and includes bracing members arranged to be coupled between the main frame and the sloped rafter of the respective trusses on both sides of the apex at a location spaced from the main frame. An anchoring member on the main frame is arranged to secure the lifeline thereon. A housing is provided which surrounds the anchoring member and extends upwardly past roofing material supported on the trusses for sealing therebetween. A cover is provided on the housing for sealing an open top end of the housing through which the anchoring member is accessible.
