PERMANENT MAGNET GENERATOR ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A permanent magnet generator is provided which is intended for use in close physical relation to an associated main generator, such as an aircraft generator. To prevent severe modulation of the output voltage of the permanent magnet generator due to stray magnetic fields from the main generator, short-circuited windings are provided encircling the magnetic circuit of the permanent magnet generator in a manner to minimize the effect of such stray magnetic fields.
