ABSTRACT Means for aligning an electron beam in a cathode ray tube includes a rear bobbin surrounding the cathode ray tube in which is mounted at least one cylindrical-shaped magnet magnetised in the direction of a diameter of the cylinder and rotatable so as to correct for misalignment. In one embodiment, two rotatable magnets mounted at right angles to each other are utilised and in a second embodiment a single magnet can be utilised and the supporting bobbin rotatable by 180°. Dimensions and pick-up and storage type tubes are exemplified.
