ABSTRACT The present invention provides a permanent mold casting mold releasing agent comprising a mixture of a mold releasing base material, composed of an inorganic compound, and an organic compound. The base material acts as a lubricant and the organic material acts as an adhesive for the base material. At least the mold releasing base material is in the form of a powder or granules. The mold releasing agent allows the production of castings of high quality, in a permanent mold casting process, with good workability and without producing environmental problems.
