A permanently attachable golf cart wherein, when the cart is collapsed, the two cart wheels fold flat underneath the golf bag, within the "foot print" of the golf bag. The cart legs, cart handle and the interconnecting linkages hang parallel or near parallel to the axis of the golf bag form one side of the bag. The golf cart, therefore, folds more or less within the envelope of the bag, adding marginally to its length (by the width of the tow wheels) and width on one side only by the thickness of legs and the pull handle. The overall dimensions of the bag, together with the cart in collapsed position is, therefore, not very much larger than the dimensions of the bag itself. As well, the cart is constructed out of light weight materials and does not add very much to the overall weight of the golf bag with standard set of golf clubs and other golf gear normally carried in the golf bag. The bag, together with the cart in collapsed position, can be handled, carried from the shoulder strap of the bag and pieced in and removed from the trunk of a car, just as easily and conveniently as the bag, by itself. The cart, therefore, can be left permanently attached to the bag, eliminating the inconvenience of having to carry the cart as a separate piece of equipment and attaching and detaching the cart from the bag, every time before and after use, as in the case of all existing conventional golf carts. As well, the cart is designed to fit any standard golf bag of cylindrical shape, giving the users the choice of using any brand of golf bag they may prefer or already own. In order to use the cart, they do not have to be limited to a dedicated, specially designed golf bag, as in the case of all existing bag & cart combination units. To unfold the cart, all that the user has to do is to swing the cart handle upwards. The cart legs spread out in front of the cart and the wheel forks, which carry the cart wheels, through various actuating linkages, are caused to rotate around the axis of their respective cart legs, as well as around the axis of their respective hinged connection with 2 cart legs through such angles so that, in the open position of the cart, the two cart wheels at the end of the cart legs, come to rest in parallel planes, parallel to the plane containing the axis of the bag and the direction of pull or push. Similarly, the cart is collapsed by simply swinging the cart handle downwards.
