A permanently attachable golf cart wherein, when the cart is collapsed, the two cart wheels fold flat underneath the golf bag, within the "foot print" of the golf bag. The cart legs, cart handle and the interconnecting linkages hang parallel or near parallel to the axis of the golf bag form one side of the bag. The golf cart, therefore, folds more or less within the envelope of the bag, adding marginally to it's length (by the width of the tow wheels) and width on one side only by the thickness of legs and the pull handle. To unfold the cart, all that the user has to do is to swing the cart handle upwards. The cart legs spread out in front of the cart and the wheel forks, which carry the cart wheels, through various actuating linkages, are caused to rotate around their axes so that, in the open position of the cart, the two cart wheels at the end of the cart legs, come to rest in parallel planes, parallel to the direction of pull or push. Similarly, the cart is collapsed by simply swinging the cart handle downwards.
