Abstract of the Disclosure A permeable, preferably conformable and thermally stable, application tape comprising (1) a backing having an outer major surface and an inner major surface, and (2) an adhesive layer on the inner surface of the backing. The application tape can be used to apply transfers to substrates and can be used as a mask to protect the surface of the transfer while paint is applied to the substrate following application of the transfer thereto. Also, a transfer comprising in part such an application tape.
