The invention relates to the recognition of persons by biometric identification systems. According to the invention, an optical or non-optical sensor (10) sensing an image of a fingerprint (theoretically on a silicon chip) associated with spectral recognition of the skin is used to recognize persons with the aid of fewer light-emitting elements (12) (generally LED light-emitting diodes) than those used for spectral recognition alone. The fingerprint image sensor and a sensor (12,14) sensing spectral transmission information relating to the skin of the finger are disposed on a common base, said fingerprint being captured by the image sensor.
L'invention concerne la reconnaissance de personnes par systèmes d'identification biométrique. Selon l'invention, on propose d'utiliser, pour la reconnaissance de personnes, un capteur d'image d'empreinte digitale 10 (en principe sur puce de silicium), optique ou non, associé à une reconnaissance spectrale de la peau utilisant moins d'éléments émetteurs de lumière 12 (des diodes électroluminescentes LED en général) que si la reconnaissance spectrale avait été utilisée seule. Sur une même embase, on trouve le capteur d'image d'empreinte digitale et un capteur (12, 14) d'informations de transmission spectrale relatives à la peau du doigt dont l'empreinte est relevée par le capteur d'image.
