8 ABSTRACT A personal alarm device includes a source of electric power, a loud buzzer, and an oscillator to activate the buzzer. Combination logic is included and an alarm latch activates the oscillator and maintains the oscillator in the active state until an off signal is received from the combination logic. A keypad is connected to the combination logic, which is such that it will allow the alarm latch to remain on until it detects a predetermined sequence from the keypad, whereupon it turns the alarm latch off. A main switch is included to allow the source to energize the alarm latch to activate the oscillator.
