L'invention concerne un procédé de mise en service et de personnalisation d'un second module d'identification (VSIM) non personnalisé, permettant en particulier de faire fonctionner un appareil de téléphonie mobile, un premier module d'identification MasterSIM (MSIM) présent contenant un enregistrement d'abonné personnalisé. L'invention se caractérise en ce qu'une authentification et/ou une vérification du second module d'identification (VSIM) est effectuée et l'enregistrement d'abonné à enregistrer sur le second module d'identification (VSIM) pour personnaliser ce second module d'identification (VSIM) est extrait du module MasterSIM (MSIM), transmis au second module d'identification (VSIM) et enregistré sur ce dernier, l'enregistrement d'abonné contenant en particulier une ou plusieurs identités d'abonné (IMSI) définitives et univoques.
