Certain novel (dihalopropenyl)phenylalkyl substituted benzodioxolane and benzodioxane derivatives have provided unexpected insecticidal activity. These compounds are represented by formula I: where R through R10, inclusively, x, A, B, y, D, E, G and M are fully described herein. Preferred compounds of the present invention are those wherein the benzofused ring moiety is attached to the remainder of the molecule at the positions designated as 1-or 2-. In addition, compositions comprising an insecticidally effective amount of at least one compound of formula I, and optionally, an effective amount of at least one of a second compound, with at least one insecticidally compatible carrier are also disclosed; along with methods of controlling insects comprising applying said compositions to a locus where insects are present or are expected to be present.
Selon la présente invention, certains nouveaux dérivés de benzodioxolane et de benzodioxane à substitution (dihalopropényl)phénylalkyle ont fait preuve d'une activité insecticide inattendue. Ces composés sont représentés par la formule (I), dans laquelle R à R?10¿, y compris x, A, B, y, D, E, G et M sont tels que définis dans la description. Des composés préférés de cette invention sont ceux dans lesquels le groupe de noyau benzofusionné est relié au reste de la molécule à des emplacements désignés comme 1- ou 2-. La présente invention concerne également des compositions comprenant une quantité efficace, d'un point de vue insecticide, d'au moins un composé de formule (I) et éventuellement une quantité efficace d'au moins un second composé, avec au moins un support compatible d'un point de vue insecticide. En outre, cette invention concerne des procédés pour contrôler des insectes, qui consistent à appliquer lesdites compositions à un endroit où des insectes sont présents ou sont censés être présents.
