ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The application relates to triazapentadienes of the formula: Image wherein R1, R2, R3 are substituent groups, for example, alkyl, cycloalkyl, halogen and R4 is alkyl or mercapto. The compounds are insecticides and acaricides and the invention includes such composition. Methods of preparing the compounds include reaction of formamidines with isonitriles, isothiocyanates and imidates.
