Abstract of the Disclosure Thio- and dithiophosphoric acid esters of the formula I (I) Image wherein R1 is methyl or ethyl, is C3-C5-alkyl, R3 is C1-C5-alkyl, C3-C5-alkenyl, C3-C5-alkynyl, benzyl, .alpha.-phenethyl or .beta.-phenethyl, R4 is phenyl or a group of the formula -CH2-COOR3 wherein R3 has the meaning given above and X is oxygen or sulphur are pesticidal in particular acaridal or insecticidal agents.
