An apparatus is provided for collecting pet feces. The apparatus includes an annular, tapered housing on the end of an elongate handle. The handle is preferably telescopically extensible and contractible. The tapered housing will accommodate a plastic bag liner with a closure tie or standard sized plastic or cardboard cups with their own covers. A cover for the housing is a friction fit to hold the packaged feces in the housing for transportation to a disposal site.
