Provided is a pet food or feed which contains an oil or fat composition having the following components (A) and (B): (A) 10 wt.% or more of diglycerides which contain, as constituent fatty acids, 50 wt.% or more of unsaturated C14-24 fatty acids and 40 wt.% or less of unsaturated fatty acids having at least 20 carbon atoms and at least 4 carbon-carbon double bonds; and (B) 20 wt.% or less of free fatty acids, wherein a weight ratio of the diglycerides to monoglycerides satisfies the following equation: diglycerides/monoglycerides >= 1. The pet food or feed according to the present invention is reduced in an offensive odor derived from animal proteins, particularly meats, and therefore, does not make pet owners or neighbors feel uncomfortable. It can be prepared without a cumbersome step, only by substituting the part or whole of its oil or fat for a specific oil or fat composition of the present invention.
La présente invention concerne un aliment pour animaux domestiques qui contient (A) au moins 10 % en masse d'un composant diglycéride dans lequel, d'une part les acides gras insaturés en C¿14?-C¿21? représentent au moins 50 % de la masse du composant acide gras constituant, et d'autre part les acides gras insaturés portant au moins 4 liaisons doubles carbone-carbone et au moins 20 atomes de carbone représentent jusqu'à 40 % en masse du composant acide gras constituant, et (B) au maximum 20 % en masse d'acides gras libres, avec un rapport massique entre diglycéride et monoglycéride d'au moins 1. Cet aliment pour animaux domestiques dégage moins d'odeurs désagréables imputables aux protéines animales telles que la viande, uniquement du fait du remplacement partiel ou total des graisses et huiles par la composition de corps gras spécifique de l'invention, sans traitement compliqué, évitant ainsi fortement les sensations désagréables.
