The pet grooming brush comprises a brush backing bristles fixed to the bottom face of the brush and regularly distributed thereon. A strap is disposed on the top face of the brush backing so as to enable a hand of a user to slide thereunder to hold the brush against the palm of the hand. The brush also contains teeth which are generally perpendicular to the bristles and which are regularly distributed at the front end of the brush backing. The teeth are shaped and arranged to disentangle knotted hair formed in the coat of the animal.
