ABSTRACT A pH-sensitive liposome comprising phosphatidyl ethanol amine, and phosphatidic acid and/or phosphatidyl serine in a proportion of not more than 20 mol%, which is characterized in that the molar ratio of phosphatidyl ethanolamine: phos- phatidic acid and/or phosphatidyl serine is 32 : 1-16 is disclosed. The liposomes of the present invention have the pH-sensitivity (responsivity) with the fusion rate increased in the acidic range.
