A composition for use in an aerosol inhaler comprises an active material, a propellant containing a hydrofluoroalkane and a cosolvent. The composition further includes a low volatility component which is added to increase the mass median aerodynamic diameter (MMAD) of the aerosol particles on actuation of the inhaler. With the addition of the low volatility component, the MMAD of the aerosol particles may be comparable to the MMAD of aerosol particles of an aerosol inhaler including CFC as propellant.
L'invention porte sur une composition destinée à être utilisée dans un inhalateur aérosol et comprenant une substance active, un agent propulseur contenant un hydrofluoroalcane et un cosolvant. A cette composition est ajouté un composant de faible volatilité pour augmenter le diamètre aérodynamique moyen en masse (MMAD) des particules de l'aérosol lors de l'actionnement de l'inhalateur. En ajoutant ce composant de faible volatilité, le diamètre aérodynamique moyen en masse des particules de l'aérosol peut être comparé à celui des particules d'un inhalateur aérosol contenant du CFC comme agent propulseur.
