In a solution composition for use in an aerosol inhaler which comprises an active material, a propellant containing a hydrofluoroalkane, a cosolvent and optionally a low volatility compound the use of a mixture of HFA 134a and HFA 227 allows to modulate the mass median aerodynamic diameter (MMAD) of the aerosol particles on actuation of the inhaler to target specific regions of the respiratory tract. Moreover the fine particle dose (FPD) of the active ingredient in the composition increases by reducing the metering chamber volume.
Dans la composition d'une solution destinée à être utilisée dans un inhalateur aérosol contenant une matière active, un propulseur contenant un hydrofluoroalcane, un cosolvant et facultativement un composé à faible volatilité, l'utilisation d'un mélange de HFA 134a et HFA 227 permet de moduler le diamètre aérodynamique moyen massique (DAMM) des particules en aérosol lors de l'actionnement de l'inhalateur afin de cibler des régions spécifiques des voies respiratoires. De plus, la dose de fines particules (DFP) du principe actif dans la composition augmente par réduction du volume de la chambre de dosage.
