Disorders of the ventral nervous system (CNS) are treated by the administration of a GABA analog such as gabapentin or pregabalin, an NMDA receptor antagonist such as dextromethorphan or d-methodone and, optionally, another pharmacologically active substance, e.g., one which is effective for the treatment of a CNS disorder.
