ABSTRACT There is described a pharmaceutical composition for percutaneous drug absorption which comprises 5-isopropyl 3-methyl 2-cyano-6-methyl-4- (3-nitrophenyl)-1,4-dihydropyridine-3,5-dicarboxylate, and ethanol and/or an unsaturated higher fatty acid. Disclosure is also made of ethanol and/or an unsaturated higher fatty acid as a promoter capable of promoting percutaneous absorption of the dihydropyridine. The process of preparing the composition is also disclosed.
