-31- ABSTRACT A pharmaceutical composition for use in glaucoma treatment which contains as an active ingredient 5-[1-hydroxy-2-[2-(2- methoxyphenoxy)ethylamino]ethyl]-2- methylbenzenesulfonamide of the formula: Image or its acid salt. This agent is free from side effects and stable and has an excellent intraocular pressure reducing activity at its low concentrations, thus being useful as a pharmaceutical composition for use in glaucoma treatment.
