Novel compositions of silicon-substituted carboxylic acid-containing- nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, their preparation and use in methods for treating, preventing and/or reducing inflammation, pain, angiogenesis, and cortical dementias including Alzheimer's disease, inflammation-related cardiovascular disorders and cancer are described. The compositions and methods are effective at decreasing or reversing the gastrointestinal, renal and other toxicities resulting from the use of non-selective carboxylate- containing-nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
L'invention concerne des nouvelles compositions de médicaments anti-inflammatoires non stéroïdiens contenant de l'acide carboxylique à substitution silicium, la préparation de ces médicaments, et leur utilisation dans des méthodes de traitement, de prévention et/ou de réduction des inflammations, de la douleur, de l'angiogenèse, et des démences corticales notamment de la maladie d'Alzheimer, des troubles cardio-vasculaires d'origine inflammatoire, et des cancers. Ces compositions et ces méthodes sont efficaces pour abaisser ou contrecarrer les toxicités gastro-intestinale, rénale ou autres résultant de l'utilisation de médicaments anti-inflammatoires non stéroïdiens non sélectifs contenant du carboxylate.
